Yankees vs Angels 9.9.08

After a devastating loss the night before, the Yankees answered back last night with a 7-1 win over the Angels. The night also made some history. First off Derek Jeter passed Babe Ruth on the team's all time hits list with hit number 2,519. Its very surreal to see Derek climbing these lists. The man really is a living legend.

Secondly, we saw the first major league start of Alfredo Aceves. He only allowed 5 hits, 1 run, o walks and 2 strikeouts through 7 innings. Nice work. Where was he weeks ago? Sidenote: Am I really expected to believe that Alfredo is only 25? That guy is like 33!

Robinson Cano made some brilliant plays at second base yesterday. I start to despise him and then he makes plays like last night. Damn you Robbie, damn you!

Johnny Damon was responsible for two solo blasts last night. Arod also came through with a big 3 run homer.

The Yanks try to take the series today beginning at 3:30. I'll be missing it since I have work till 8 today and mlb.tv seems to know when its not really my ex boyfriend logging in. Blasphemy.

Aceves reminds me of Tejada.. except you know, 25-33 is a larger gap than 31-33
